After sliding feet first in the sport of luge for six years, Ryan made the switch to go head first into the sport of skeleton at the direction of the principal at the National Sports School, and has never looked back.

Ryan is part of a talent group of next generation athletes quickly developing through the athlete pathway. He clocked the top time at the National Push Testing in 2021, and is now focused head first on chasing hiss Olympic dream.

Born in the United States, Ryan moved to Canada when he was 10. He graduated from the National Sport School in 2021 and enjoys downhill mountain biking when not training or competing. His favourite track is Lake Placid.
