NEXT GENERATION OF OLYMPIC HEROES DESCEND IN CALGARY FOR INTERNATIONAL BOBSLEIGH AND SKELETON RACES

CALGARYThe next generation of World Cup bobsleigh and skeleton athletes from around the world will slide into Calgary this week, looking to earn valuable world ranking points in two FIBT sanctioned events at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.  

 

The Olympic track will be the site for FIBT America’s Cup races in both disciplines. The America’s Cup, which is a development-level circuit held in North America, will take place Thursday through Saturday.  

 

There will be 85 athletes representing 18 nations, including 30 Canadian sliders, rallying for their move up the rankings, which determines starting positions and seedings at FIBT races around the world, and the ultimate goal of being chosen for the World Cup team and major championships.
