Fastest Athletes on Ice Slide into Whistler for BMW IBSF World Cup Bobsleigh and Skeleton Opener

WHISTLER, B.C.—The world's fastest athletes on ice are back in Whistler to kickoff the 2016-17 BMW IBSF World Cup bobsleigh and skeleton seasonat the Whistler Sliding Centre, December 2-3. 

The 2010 Olympic Track will play host tonearly 200 athletes, representing 25 countries from around the globe that willdescend on Whistler Village for men's and women's skeleton and bobsleighraces. 

The action will be fast and furious, the fooddelicious and non-stop fun for guests of all ages. Put on your red and whiteand cheer Team Canada on to the top of the podium.

 

Schedule:

Training November 28-December 1

World Cup Races:

December 2

2 p.m. – women’s skeleton

6 p.m.  – two-man bobsleigh

December 3

10 a.m. – men’s skeleton

2 p.m. – women’s bobsleigh

6 p.m. – four-man bobsleigh

 

Tickets:

Tickets for the Whistler event can bepurchased for $10 now at www.whistlerslidingcentre.com, or in person atGuest Services at the Whistler Sliding Centre.  Children 12 and under arefree.

Whistler Media Accreditation:

ALL media must RSVP to Chris Dornan athpprchris@shaw.ca in advance of the event to receive media credentials forthe World Cup. Media can pick up accreditation at Guest Services before headingto the Media Centre.

Media Parking:

Limited parking will be made available formedia in Lot 7 and 8. Media may also gain free access to the venue via theExcalibur Gondola.
