Team Rush Slides to Sixth at Four-Man Bobsleigh World Cup in Germany

ALTENBERG, Ger.—Lyndon Rush piloted the lone Canadian four-man bobsleigh to a sixth-place finish at a World Cup in Altenberg, Germany on Sunday.
Rush, of Humboldt, Sask., drove the Canada 1 crew – Jesse Lumsden, of Burlington, Ont., Calgary’s Lascelles Brown and Edmonton’s Neville Wright – into sixth spot with a two-run time of one minute, 51.97 seconds down the 1,413-metre track.
The Germans were too powerful on their home track in Altenberg sweeping the four-man podium.
Maximimillian Arndt, Marko Huebenbecker, Alexander Roediger and Martin Putze blasted the Germany 1 sled to a golden time of 1:51.26. Manuel Machata, Alex Mann, Jan Speer, and Christian Poser were second in the Germany 3 sled at 1:51.32, while Thomas Florschuetz, Andreas Bredau, Kevin Kuske and Thorsten Margis completed the sweep in the Germany 2 sled with a time of 1:51.45.
