Jeff Pain Holds National Media Conference in Calgary

CALGARY—Canada’s Olympic silver medallist, Jeff Pain, who is arguably one of the best athletes in the world to ever hop on a skeleton sled is pleased to invite news and sports reporters to a media conference to recap a historic Olympic and World Cup career, discuss his future plans around competitive racing, and launch a unique speaking tour that will have him sharing his Olympic story with Canadian military families.


The Calgary native, who is one of the pioneers of skeleton racing in Canada, has won nearly everything on the table in the sport. Thoughout his 15-year career, Pain was an Olympic silver medallist, finished on the podium three times at the World Championships including two golds, and was a two-time Overall World Cup title winner. In his 74 World Cup appearances, Pain racked up 10 victories, six silver medals and six bronze.


The media event will be held in the theatre of the Olympic Hall of Fame at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 12 noon.
