Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton Holds National Prospects Camp in Calgary

—Nation’s top brakemen battle for spots in push-start challenge—

CALGARY—Canada’s top bobsleigh athletes will compete head-to-head for spots on the national squad while taking part in a vigorous push-start challenge on Wednesday, September 26, beginning at 10 a.m.

The best men and women athletes in the sport will hit the start line of WinSport Canada’s Ice House, and explode off the block for a 30-metre thrilling demonstration of power and speed as part of Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton’s National Prospects Camp.

The premier selection event for the national program will include nearly 30 athletes including Olympians Kaillie Humphries, Lyndon Rush, Jesse Lumsden, Lascelles Brown, and Chris Spring, along with a crew of new recruits from across the country.

The athletes will be back on the Olympic Track in Calgary and Whistler in early October. Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton will name its World Cup Team at the end of October following a series of selection races in Calgary and Whistler.
