BCS Welcomes New Board Members at Annual General Meeting

Members of Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton gathered in Calgary earlier this month to elect and welcome two new Board members.

Bill France was elected to the position of treasurer, while Sarah Storey assumes the postion of vice-president.

Bill France is well known to Canada’s sliding sport community while serving as the vice-president of sport for WinSport Canada over the last decade. President of the Board of the Whistler Sliding Centre, France was also vice-president, sport for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary.

Ottawa-based lawyer, Sarah Storey who is the daughter of Bob Storey – president of the FIBT for 16 years, joins the Board as vice-president. Storey has also established herself in the Canadian sport community while working with the Court of Arbitration for Sport and co-counselling and while organizing multiple International Olympic Committee sport federation’s congress.

The two new representatives join existing Board members, Reid Morrison (president), Bernie Asbell (director at large), and Lee Genier (director at large).
