Lyndon Rush Pilots Canadian Bobsleigh to Seventh in St. Moritz

ST.MORITZ, Sui.—Lyndon Rush leaves the birthplace of the sliding sports with a seventh-place finish in the four-man bobsleigh race on Sunday.
The 31-year-old Rush, of Humboldt, Sask. and his crew of Jesse Lumsden (Burlington, Ont.), Cody Sorensen (Ottawa), and Neville Wright (Edmonton), clocked a two-run time of 2:10.95 on the world’s only 1,700-metre naturally iced track.
German sleds grabbed the top-two spots on the podium.
Maximillian Arndt, Jan Speer, Alexander Roediger and Martin Putze claimed the gold at 2:10.51 in the Germany 1 sled. Manuel Machata piloted the Germany 2 sled with Marko Huebenbecker, Andreas Bredau and Christian Poser to second with a time of 2:10.72.
Latvia’s Edgars Maskalans, Daumantis Dreiskens, Uglis Zalims and Intars Dambis slid to the bronze medal with a time of 2:10.75.
The Canadian Team will now return to Canada for back-to-back World Cups before ending the season with the World Championships in Lake Placid, NY.
